The cow slurry produced in your farm has a huge amount of energy stored within it. As the organic material slowly breaks down, this energy is released as methane, heat and other gases.
Our BioFarm system is designed to fit alongside your current slurry management process, diverting raw material into the reactor and processing it, before releasing back to your slurry storage tanks. Each system utilises a biological process called Anaerobic Digestion (AD), accelerating the breakdown of organic material. Through this process, our systems capture and process the biogas, converting it to useful renewable energy for you to use on-farm.
BioFarm is a self-contained waste-to-energy system, modular in design and scalable to fit your needs now. Our innovative design allows BioFarm to expanding with you as your business grows, seamlessly integrating additional reactors as needed.
BioFarm pays for itself by off-setting your imported energy costs, replacing the use of electricity, oil, or gas by using biogas as a fuel source.
As well as reducing your energy bills, our micro-AD system has a beneficial impact on soil health. The quality of slurry is improved, promoting better nutrient uptake in your crops, whilst also reducing the costs associated with slurry spreading.
Our micro-AD system also has a proven positive impact on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions when compared to untreated slurry. Direct reductions in GHG emissions are achievable through the micro-AD process, supporting your ecological goals and helping combat future legislative and regulative measures that may be introduced to tackle farming GHG emissions.
